Son-In-Law Birthday Card

For this card I have used the Not For Girls CD from Polkadoodles.
I used brown pearl card for the base, cut out a piece of the diamonds backing paper, roughed up the edges with a file and dabbed brown ink on the edges and then stuck the image of the car on top.  I finished it off with brown raffia and card candi.

I'd like to enter this into Make It Monday's Linky Party, which as always is Anything Goes.

First Birthday Card

A card for a little boy's first birthday.  The backing paper is from Polkadoodle's Sundae of Seasons CD, and the trees are from their Back to Nature CD.
I used blue pearl card for the base, I found the image of Iggle Piggle and Maka Paka on the internet and layered it onto some trees paper from the Back to Nature CD and then onto blue pearl card, did the same with the sentiment which I  printed on the computer, stuck the trees on with foam pads and added card candi, finally added blue organza ribbon across the top.

Dog Birthday Card & Mrs Blackbird

I was asked to make a birthday card using a photo of the recipient's own puppy.  I resized the picture and matted it onto pearl card and Bazzill card, the sentiment is part of a Cuttlebug embossing folder,
I then added black organza ribbon and card cadi.  The backing paper is from the Furry Friends CD from Joanna Sheen.
We have a blackbird's nest in the ivy in our garden, she was busy last week coming and going with beakfuls of nesting material, now it looks like there's eggs in there, looking forward to seeing the babies soon!

Another 60th Birthday Card

Another 60th birthday card I was asked to make.  I used the Jane Shasky CD from Joanna Sheen for the birds image and backing paper.
I printed the sentiment on the computer, and cut it out with an oval scalloped Spellbinders die, and stuck that onto Bazzill card cut out with the picot circles Spellbinders die.  The flower is from a spray of artificial flowers and the green twine is Twool, made from the wool of Whiteface Dartmoor sheep, it's very soft to use, much nicer than the usual garden twine.

1950s Themed 60th Birthday Card

For this card I used cream pearl card for the base and My Mind's Eye backing paper. I did a Google search for images of 1950s advertisements and comics and  I matted the images onto Bazzill cardstock and used foam pads to stick some of them down for a layered effect.
The wording is printed on the computer and finally added some card candi.

60th Birthday Card

A 60th birthday card for a neighbour's husband. I used cream pearl card for the card base, the image and backing paper is from Debbi Moore's Shabby Chic Garden CD.
The sentiment is from the Jane Shasky CD from Joanna Sheen, mounted onto green Bazzill cardstock. I stamped the numbers with brown ink and embossed with clear embossing powder and cut out with a Spellbinders die, the flowers are punched from the backing paper, scrunched up, inked and with card candi added to the centres.
The image is mounted onto Bazzill card cut out with a Spellbinders die, and I tied garden twine down the side of the card.  The card also has a matching insert, but I forgot to photograph that.
The envelope to go with the card, also from the Shabby Chic Garden CD.

Knitted flower Brooches

I knitted these from a kit that came with Let's Knit magazine a couple of months ago.

The yarn is double knitting, really soft and nice to knit with.  I think I'll be making more of these in different colours, a good way to use up some of my stash :-)

Hello Kitty

A card for a little girl's birthday, I found the image on the internet and the butterfly backing paper is from Funky Hand's Spring Has Sprung download.
The felt flowers were free with a magazine ages ago, and I stuck some card candi in the centres of them.  I mounted the image onto some Bazzill cardstock cut with a Spellbinders die.  The number is a stamp from Hobbycraft stamped with purple ink, heat embossed and cut out with a Spellbinders die.
The letters are from Polkadoodles Sugar Birdies CD, with some glitter around the edge, and stuck with foam pads onto Bazzill cardstock embossed with the Cuttlebug daisies folder, and then matted onto purple card.

Thanks for looking :-)
