This week's challenge at Incy Wincy Designs is to make anything you like, with an optional sketch to follow.
For my entry I've made a birthday card for a knitter. For the card base I've used purple ice diamond lustre card. The backing paper is from Funky Hand's Hearts and Flowers download, but this hasn't shown up too well on the photo. Flowers are punched out with brads and wool attached to the centres. The letters are Tim Holtz grungeboard, coloured with H2Os and glitter added.
This week at C.R.A.F.T we want you to make Christmas gifts, and for my design team entry I have made a Christmas pudding tea cosy. The pattern is from this months Simply Knitting magazine, and it is knitted in double knitting wool, using two strands to make it nice and thick.
The prize this week is being kindly donated by one of our DT, Eileen (Eiglas), a set of sentiment stamps, go to the C.R.A.F.T challenge blog for details. Eileen is also offering some candy, a set of her gorgeous Christmas digistamps! For details of how you could win them go to Eileen's blog here.
Good luck to everyone who enters this week, look forward to seeing what you make!
The challenge at C.R.A.F.T this week is to use this inspiration photo, supplied to us by one of our design team members, Eileen (Eiglas).
Some of us on the design team used a lovely digi stamp drawn by Claire, who is also supplying the prize this week. This is what you could win, a set of Christmas Doodles by Claire, plus some other surprise goodies!
For my card I have coloured Claire's image with pencils, added some glitter and mounted it onto some blue card. The backing paper is from Polkadoodle's Jingle Jangle Christmas CD, with some snowflakes stamped on and heat embossed. The smaller snowflakes are punched out and brads added to the centre. The sentiment is part of Polkadoodle's Christmas stamp set, which I stamped with silver ink and heat embossed.
I'm entering this card in the By The Cute And Girly challenge, the theme this month is 'Winter Wonderland'.
The challenge at C.R.A.F.T this week is to follow a recipe, 1 tag, 1 ribbon and 1 sentiment, and for my Design Team card I have made a rose fairy card. The fairy and backing paper is from the Crafters Companion Flower Fairies CD, I've used the Cuttlebug Daisies embossing folder and some magenta ink round the edges of the paper. The sentiment is stamped and heat embossed.
For my card I have used the Tweets with Attitude papers and stampies from the Polkadoodles Not For Girls CD. The sentiment is stamped and heat embossed and mounted on twisted garden string, and attached with brads.
Susie has a great selection of die cuts as well a wide range of other crafting goodies. For my DT entry this week I've made an ATC. I hand cut the bonfire and coloured it with H20s, and stuck on some twigs from the garden. The fireworks are sticky gems and gel pens.
The challenge this week at Daring Cardmakers is to use your latest craft punch purchase. For this challenge I've made a Zinnia Fairy card for a friend's daughter's birthday. The fairy, backing paper and letters are from the Crafter's Companion Flower Fairies CD, the flowers are a combination of paper flowers and fabric flowers taken from a spray of artificial flowers, attached with brads. The punch I used is a leaf punch I bought last weekend.
I came across this challenge while looking at Claire's blog, where I also got the inspiration for making the flowers - thanks Claire!
