Birthday Card For A Knitter

This week's challenge at Incy Wincy Designs is to make anything you like, with an optional sketch to follow.

For my entry I've made a birthday card for a knitter. For the card base I've used purple ice diamond lustre card. The backing paper is from Funky Hand's Hearts and Flowers download, but this hasn't shown up too well on the photo. Flowers are punched out with brads and wool attached to the centres. The letters are Tim Holtz grungeboard, coloured with H2Os and glitter added.

C.R.A.F.T Challenge 26

The challenge at C.R.A.F.T this week is to use this inspiration photo, supplied to us by one of our design team members, Eileen (Eiglas).

Some of us on the design team used a lovely digi stamp drawn by Claire, who is also supplying the prize this week. This is what you could win, a set of Christmas Doodles by Claire, plus some other surprise goodies!

Claire has lots more lovely digi stamps in her shop Doodles by Hope Jacare.

For my card I have coloured Claire's image with pencils, added some glitter and mounted it onto some blue card. The backing paper is from Polkadoodle's Jingle Jangle Christmas CD, with some snowflakes stamped on and heat embossed. The smaller snowflakes are punched out and brads added to the centre. The sentiment is part of Polkadoodle's Christmas stamp set, which I stamped with silver ink and heat embossed.

I'm entering this card in the By The Cute And Girly challenge, the theme this month is 'Winter Wonderland'.

Zinnia Fairy - Daring Cardmakers Challenge

The challenge this week at Daring Cardmakers is to use your latest craft punch purchase. For this challenge I've made a Zinnia Fairy card for a friend's daughter's birthday. The fairy, backing paper and letters are from the Crafter's Companion Flower Fairies CD, the flowers are a combination of paper flowers and fabric flowers taken from a spray of artificial flowers, attached with brads. The punch I used is a leaf punch I bought last weekend.

I came across this challenge while looking at Claire's blog, where I also got the inspiration for making the flowers - thanks Claire!
