And then there was one....

The pattern for the reindeer is from Scandinavian Cross Stitch Designs by Jana Hauschild Lindberg. I stitched the reindeer on 14 count rustico aida fabric and attached it to a piece of card slightly smaller than the fabric with brads, and then fixed it to the background with foam tape.
I made the background by stamping a small snowflake on some speckle card with brown ink, and stuck this onto a kraft card blank. To finish it off I tied brown satin holly ribbon along the side.
A tea cosy I knitted for a friend for Christmas. The pattern came from a book called Tea Cozies 2. A few years ago Knitting magazine held a tea cosy designing competition and this book is a compilation of some of the entries they had.
The cosy was designed by Sheila Woolrich, I knitted the main part of the cosy in Stylecraft Life double knitting wool, using one strand of cream and one strand of pebble.
Everything else is double knitting wool from my stash. The small yellow flowers are crocheted with crochet chains for the stems.
The large purple flower is also crocheted with one of the smaller flowers in the centre, the leaves are knitted.
the reindeer cards using the Jingle Jangle Christmas CD, with the addition of glitter glue, organza ribbon, gingham ribbon and sticky pearls.

The gingerbread men and gingham paper are from the Sundae of Seasons CD, and I tied orange garden string down the side.

The papers and reindeer stamp were from magazines, the snowflakes are punched out, glittered and card candi added to the centres.
I matted the patterned paper onto green bazzil card, stuck the reindeer onto a scalloped oval cut with a Spellbinders die which I embossed with a Cuttlebug swiss dots folder, and added a couple of raffia bows.

I sewed a star shape on this one with glittery thread, and tied the same thread round the card,
and on this one I stitched a button and added some organza ribbon.
Another card using Polkadoodle's Jingle Jangle Christmas CD for the backing papers, and the reindeer from their Christmas Boutique magazine and kit.
Brown pearlescent card for the card base, Spellbinders die behind the reindeer, die cut and punched out snowflakes with sticky pearls in the centres, with lots of glitter. The merry christmas is a Polkadoodles stamp and the name printed on the computer and cut out with a Spellbinders die.
For this card I used backing paper from Polkadoodles Jingle Jangle Christmas CD, the snowman is from their Christmas Boutique kit. The card base is blue pearlescent card,
The snowman is on the same pearlescent card cut out with a Spellbinders die, I made the snowflakes with a sizzix die and a small snowflake punch, and added lots of glitter glue. The merry christmas sentiment is from the Christmas Doodles stamp set, and Brodie is computer printed, both of these are layered onto card cut out with a Nestabilities oval die, and embossed with the Cuttlebug swiss dots folder. I finished off with some silver sparkly ribbon along the top.
I matted the image onto blue card, the sentiment is on two Spellbinders dies, one of them I embossed with the Cuttlebug daiseis folder. I layered up some paper and ribbon flowers and added some pale green organza ribbon along the side.
I'd like to enter this into:
I used the pre-coloured images on the CD, the sentiment is also from the same CD, and the backing paper is from the Sundae of Seasons CD.
I matted the image on some brown card embossed with the Cuttlebug daisies folder and inked around the edges, with some raffia tied round.
The teapot and teacup and saucer are sizzix dies, and behind them I used a spellbinders die,

The papers for this were freebies from magazines, the holly leaves are a stamp from Let's Make Cards magazine, plus brads and ric rac ribbon.
I'd like to enter this into:

I coloured the image with pencils. The background paper I made by printing off the distressed orange paper from Polkadoodle's Candy Doodles CD, and stamping over it with a flower stamp, also from Polkadoodles (Daisy Doodles stamp set).
