C.R.A.F.T Challenge 31 - Thank You

The challenge at C.R.A.F.T this week is Thank You, and for my DT project I have used the new Polkadoodles Back to Nature CD, with some glittery pom poms, sticky gems and ribbon added. The sentiment was printed off the computer and attached with tiny pegs.

This challenge is running for two weeks, so you have until 6th January to enter. The prize is some Basic Grey papers, mulberry flowers and some Papermania flower stickers.



I'm also entering this card into the Polkadoodles challenge to make anything you like.

A Christmas card I made using the Polkadoodles Jingle jangle Christmas CD, with the addition of some glitter, ribbon, punched out snowflakes, sticky gems and pom poms.

C.R.A.F.T Challenge 30

C.R.A.F.T Challenge 29 - Happy New Year

This week's challenge at C.R.A.F.T is to make a New Year project, it can be any sort of project you like, a card, gift box, it's up to you!

The prize this week has been very generously donated by a mystery donor who wishes to remain anonymous, thank you whoever you are!

For my DT entry I've made a card. The image is from an old card with some stamped and embossed snowflakes for the background, fabric flowers, ribbon and glitter.

C.R.A.F.T Challenge 28

This week the challenge at C.R.A.F.T is to make something for a Christmas birthday, it can be a card or any other project.

For my DT card I have used papers and images from the Woodland Treasures by Peerless Designs, with the addition of some glitter, ribbon, brads and stick on pearls. The flowers are fro CD fromm a cheap spray of artificial flowers. The sentiment is confetti and the leaves are punched out with glittery paper.



Our sponsor this week is Debbie at The Crafty Pad, and the prize is these two lovely stamps, Leaf and Flourish and Bear Hugs.

Birthday Card For A Knitter

This week's challenge at Incy Wincy Designs is to make anything you like, with an optional sketch to follow.

For my entry I've made a birthday card for a knitter. For the card base I've used purple ice diamond lustre card. The backing paper is from Funky Hand's Hearts and Flowers download, but this hasn't shown up too well on the photo. Flowers are punched out with brads and wool attached to the centres. The letters are Tim Holtz grungeboard, coloured with H2Os and glitter added.

C.R.A.F.T Challenge 27

This week at C.R.A.F.T we want you to make Christmas gifts, and for my design team entry I have made a Christmas pudding tea cosy. The pattern is from this months Simply Knitting magazine, and it is knitted in double knitting wool, using two strands to make it nice and thick.

C.R.A.F.T Challenge 26

The challenge at C.R.A.F.T this week is to use this inspiration photo, supplied to us by one of our design team members, Eileen (Eiglas).


Some of us on the design team used a lovely digi stamp drawn by Claire, who is also supplying the prize this week. This is what you could win, a set of Christmas Doodles by Claire, plus some other surprise goodies!


Claire has lots more lovely digi stamps in her shop Doodles by Hope Jacare.

For my card I have coloured Claire's image with pencils, added some glitter and mounted it onto some blue card. The backing paper is from Polkadoodle's Jingle Jangle Christmas CD, with some snowflakes stamped on and heat embossed. The smaller snowflakes are punched out and brads added to the centre. The sentiment is part of Polkadoodle's Christmas stamp set, which I stamped with silver ink and heat embossed.



I'm entering this card in the By The Cute And Girly challenge, the theme this month is 'Winter Wonderland'.

C.R.A.F.T Challenge 25

The challenge at C.R.A.F.T this week is to follow a recipe, 1 tag, 1 ribbon and 1 sentiment, and for my Design Team card I have made a rose fairy card. The fairy and backing paper is from the Crafters Companion Flower Fairies CD, I've used the Cuttlebug Daisies embossing folder and some magenta ink round the edges of the paper. The sentiment is stamped and heat embossed.


The prize this week is from Donna's Den of Crafts, this lovely selection of Christmas goodies!

Incy Wincy Designs Challenge

Firstly, big Congratulations to Cheryl and Liz for their Design Team posts at Incy Wincy Designs!

The challenge this week is to follow this sketch:

For my card I have used the Tweets with Attitude papers and stampies from the Polkadoodles Not For Girls CD. The sentiment is stamped and heat embossed and mounted on twisted garden string, and attached with brads.

C.R.A.F.T Challenge 24

The theme for this week's challenge at C.R.A.F.T is bonfire, fireworks and celebration. The prize this week is a selection of die cuts from Susie at Die Cut Dreams.

Susie has a great selection of die cuts as well a wide range of other crafting goodies.For my DT entry this week I've made an ATC. I hand cut the bonfire and coloured it with H20s, and stuck on some twigs from the garden. The fireworks are sticky gems and gel pens.

Zinnia Fairy - Daring Cardmakers Challenge

The challenge this week at Daring Cardmakers is to use your latest craft punch purchase. For this challenge I've made a Zinnia Fairy card for a friend's daughter's birthday. The fairy, backing paper and letters are from the Crafter's Companion Flower Fairies CD, the flowers are a combination of paper flowers and fabric flowers taken from a spray of artificial flowers, attached with brads. The punch I used is a leaf punch I bought last weekend.


I came across this challenge while looking at Claire's blog, where I also got the inspiration for making the flowers - thanks Claire!

C.R.A.F.T Challenge 22

This week the theme at C.R.A.F.T challenge is anniversary, and for my DT card I have used The Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady CD from Joanna Sheen. For the card base I used plain cream card, inked round the edges with robin's egg blue ink. I printed the backing paper on ice diamond lustre paper, although this hasn't shown up on the photo. The sentiment I printed off the computer, the flowers I embossed with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder and inked round the edges.

Harvest Mouse Card - Tuesday Taggers

The challenge this week at Tuesday Taggers is to create something using this lovely Harvest Mouse image which they are giving away for free, designed by Teri, one of their DT. You can visit Teri's shop, Delicious Doodles, here.




For my card I have used backing paper from The Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady CD, printed onto ice diamond lustre paper. I embossed the flower and the card behind the mouse with the cuttlebug daisy folder. The leaves are Quickcutz die cuts coloured with twinkling H2os. The mouse I coloured with pencils.

C.R.A.F.T Challenge 21 - a recipe

This week's challenge at C.R.A.F.T is to follow a recipe, 1 ribbon, 2 buttons and 3 papers. Most of us on the DT have used digi images from Willow Designs, who is our sponsor this week.


For my DT card I've used 'Dear Santa', I've coloured the image in with pencils and added glitter and flowersoft. The trees backing paper and sentiment is from Polkadoodle's Jingle Jangle Christmas CD, printed on pearl paper, although this hasn't shown up in the photo. The backing paper I made the flowers from is also from Jingle Jangle Christmas and embossed with the cuttlebug swiss dots folder and glitter added, with buttons tied with wool.




The prize this week from Willow Designs is the 3 Christmas owls digi stamps that have been used this week by the DT. Go and have a look and see the lovely creations the rest of the DT have made, and we look forward to seeing what you make too!
