C.R.A.F.T Challenge 61 - Hot & Spicy Colours

This week at C.R.A.F.T we want you to use Hot & Spicy colours in your work, you can create anything you want in any medium as long as the colours are Hot & Spicy.

For my card I have crochet a flower, and used plaited orange garden string to make the stem of the flower. I made the background with a small flower stamp and brown & magenta inks. I used my Cuttlebug to emboss the card behind the flower and to cut out and emboss the butterfly. The card base is double sided ice diamond lustre card.

This week's lucky winner will receive a prize from our sponsor Crab Apple Crafts:

C.R.A.F.T Challenge 60 - Out Of This World

This week's challenge at C.R.A.F.T is to use the theme 'Out Of This World', a great challenge to let your imagination run wild! Our sponsor is our DT member Ei, and the prize is £10.00 worth of digi images of your choice from her site Eiglassing, or if you prefer she will draw you your very own digi of whatever you like.

For this challenge I have knitted some aliens, I got the pattern from this wonderful and fun book, 20 To Make Knitted Aliens by Fiona McDonald:

They're knitted in double knitting and fluffy wool with tiny glass pearls for eyes. Their spaceship in the background used to belong to Action Man!

Do go and have a look at C.R.A.F.T to see the Out Of This World creations the rest of the DT have made, and we look forward to seeing what you make!

C.R.A.F.T Challenge 59 Babies/Children

This week at C.R.A.F.T the theme is babies or children, and we welcome back Angela of Toucan Scraps as our sponsor.

For my DT card all the papers I've used are from Angela's Dinosaurs digi papers pack, and the image is Jiggy in Crib by Stampin Dragon.

I coloured the image in pencils and added sparkly highlights with Sakura pens, the oval behind the image is cuttlebug embossed using the stars folder, the flowers are punched out and distressed by scrunching them up a few times, opening them up and dabbing an ink pad onto them. I wrapped garden string round a couple of times and tied in a bow.

C.R.A.F.T Challenge 58 - Cakes/Ice Cream

This week at C.R.A.F.T we want you to use cakes and/or ice cream in your projects! Our sponsor this week is The Crafty Pad, and this is what you could win, a set of clear cake stamps:

The Crafty Pad sell loads of stamps, in clear stamp form and digi stamps, and it's the digi stamp version of the cupcakes I've used in my DT card:
I've decoupaged the cakes and coloured them with sakura pens and added glitter glue for extra sparkle, the cupcakes backing paper is by Kirsty Wiseman. The pink paper behind the cupcakes is from Polkadoodle's Candy Doodles CD, embossed on the Cuttlebug with gems and organza ribbon added. Fabric flowers, brads and the sentiment is a stamp free with a magazine.
