C.R.A.F.T Challenge 43 - Easter

This week at C.R.A.F.T we want to see your Easter projects, and our sponsor is Craft Obsessions who are offering the great prize of 6 Promarkers in your choice of colour.

For my DT project I've knitted some Easter chicks, the pattern is a free download from Alan Dart's website, and I've used double knitting wool from my stash.

We look forward to seeing what you create this week, but there's also an extra challenge for you, go to DT member Ei's blog for the details!

A Card For 3 Challenges

A card I've made for a friend's birthday.

Tree tree template is from Anna Marie designs, I cut the trunk from bazzill cardstock and the foliage and the green paper at the bottom of the card are from Funky Hand's Paper Blossom download.

The blue backing paper and spotty paper I cut the bird from are both from Funky Hand's Now That's Funky CD.

The bird's nest I made from garden string stitched together with brown thread, and the flowers are punched out, embossed with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder and inked. Die cut hedgehog and stamped sentiment.

I'm entering this card into these challenges:

and the prize this week is any 3 images from their online shop.

For my project I have made a bookmark, using Sean O'Hare. I coloured him with pencils, attached him with brads, added a die cut flower and a bit of organza ribbon.

A Couple Of Birthday Cards & Allsorts Challenge

Here's a couple of birthday cards I've just made.

The first one I'm entering into the Allsorts Challenge where the theme this week is 'Just For Men.'

The guitar I made using a template from Anna Marie Designs. For the main body of the guitar I used wood grain effect paper from Polkadoodles Not For Girls CD, with a bit of doodling around the sound hole. The strings are hemp, and I used silver gel pen for the frets and markers on the neck.

I found the music score on the internet and printed it onto vellum, tore round the edges and attached it with brads to brick patterned paper, also from the Not For Girls CD. The musical notes square is also from the same CD.

A few brads to hold the strings in place and finally I added a real plectrum to finish it off.

My second card was quick and easy, using the Jayne Netley Mayhew Collection Part 2 CD from Joanna Sheen.

C.R.A.F.T 40 - Mother's Day/Flowers

This week the challenge at C.R.A.F.T is to make something with the theme of Mother's Day or Flowers.

For my DT card I have used cream hammered card as the card base, the green spotty paper is MME Wild Asparagus, and I have stamped the small daisy flowers onto pale yellow linen card and inked round the edges. The flowers are made from the same papers with a button attached with hemp. Then I added lace from my stash and attached it with brads.

The prize this week are these handmade floral embellishments and Stamping Bella stamp:
